Twelve original works in raw mineral pigment and acrylic on canvas, each centred on a major world currency symbol. Held under exclusive mandate. The collection is closed at twelve and no further canvases will be created.
The premise
The symbols a business is built on, made physical.
Currency symbols are among the most looked-at marks in commerce and among the least looked-at objects in a building. Sovereign takes twelve of them and treats each as a subject in its own right.
For an institution whose work is money, movement or exchange, the collection states what the business does without a word of copy. It is acquired as a commissioned environment rather than as a gallery acquisition, and it is priced on that basis.
Terms
- Availability
Available as a complete collection to a single institution. Individual works and subsets are available by negotiation.
- Exclusivity
Original works, not editions and not reproductions. The concept exists once and the collection will not be extended.
- Disclosure
Imagery, dimensions, pricing and the full collection overview are released under mutual NDA to verified counterparties.
- Valuation
The firm makes no representation as to resale value or secondary market performance. An independent valuation will be commissioned following the first placement.
